Windows 8 is functioning acceptable, but I would like help to do one little thing - syncronise folders acros 2 computers.
ReplyDeleteEarlier I've used live mesh (which is to be discontinued in march), and skydrive put's it all in a box and in the cloud.
I would like to have folder X on my laptop syncronise with my folder Y on my stationary. In a perfekt world as p2p like mesh, in an accepptable world syncronise each time my laptop is in my home network.
Both machines are running win 8 pro.
Is there an easy way to get this done ?
Skydrive can have lots of folders and you Select what folder you want to syncronise down if you use desktop version of the skydrive App (Downlaodable from skydrive.com and Select "Get Skydrive-Apps")
ReplyDeleteIf already installed right click the Skydrive icon and Select settings. Select Choose folders tab and press the Choose folders button and you can Select what to download. Sadly you can only have one "parent folder" to the content from Skydrive. With Live Mesh you it could be differenet folders around. To fix this you might use Libraries pointing to different subfolder in the Skydrive folder, I use this alot. Makes it faster to Access the most common used data
